And I...

...am back in Toronto, the most magnificent city in the world!

I have just spent nine months in Texas for my first year of university. Nothing makes you appreciate what you had when you don't have it anymore, right? Well, the longer I was away from Canada, the more I remembered all the good things it has to offer.

And I was right, too. My first official day back home I had to go downtown to take care of a few errands. A friend of mine tagged along. We ended up renting a couple of city bikes and riding around downtown, going all the way from Bloor St. to the harbour front. It was one of the most wonderful days I have ever spent.

Now I think it is fairly safe to say that I'm back for good. Although I liked the States, I realized that I absolutely adore Canada. Besides, it was hard being away for that long (and when you think about it, it wasn't even that long!). But now that I am back, I am also starting a new project: I am going to discover as much of Toronto as I can. (A sad goal, really, considering I have lived here for twelve years.) This will require learning how to use a camera, so I can take pictures (maybe some day even videos) of all the great places I see. And then I'll blog about them! Give me a few weeks to start on this one, though...we all know how good I am with keeping deadlines (though I vow to get better).

So keep a look out for new posts! (...that will hopefully come in more frequently than once every eight months...)
